Cliffs of Moher

So this weekend was a really fun weekend....besides getting sick......we went to the Cliffs of Moher! The Cliffs are 214m high at the highest point and range for 8 kilometers over the Atlantic Ocean on the western seaboard of County Clare. O'Brien's Tower stands proudly on a headland of the majestic Cliffs. From the Cliffs one can see the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, as well as The Twelve Pins, the Maum Turk Mountains in Connemara and Loop Head to the South. The Cliffs of Moher take their name from a ruined promontory fort “Mothar” which was demolished during the Napoleonic wars to make room for a signal tower.

Oh and for you Harry Potter fans you might recognize this spot.....

But I have to talk about the hostel we stayed in. We stayed at the Aille River Hostel in down town Doolin. It was the cutest little house I've ever seen! The only down side was the side of the room. We had four people in our room and their was 3 beds. A bunk bed and the a full size bed where 2 people had to share.... lets just say i got the bottom bunk.

But here is the Link to see all of the pics from this weekend...
