He is Always at Work in Our Lives

Psalms 20:6

On this trip I had a very wonderful and unexpected thing happen to me. I was so blown away and it showed that God Is Always Here Working away within our lives. On day while everyone was out and about I had gotten up to go the restroom, when I came out go the restroom this lady stopped me and said that she had over herd a conversation I had had about how we all knew that God is a strong force in our lives. She must over herd me telling my testimony about the night I asked Christ into my heart and that I knew for a mater of fact that I was saved. I was caught by surprise thinking she was going to ask something like where are you from or where did you get your shoes, but not "I overheard your conversation." I was a little worried that she was going to bash Jesus or condemn me for believing in Him (Isn't it sad when something like this happens you think the worst is going to happen). But then she asked me the most unexpected thing, she asked me "how do you know your saved?" I was so caught of guard I kind of just stared at her for a minute then I got to thinking and I really didn't know how to explain it to her. So after a minute or two I just said "the only way I know how to describe it is that it's a gut feeling and that deep down in my heart I know that I have my salvation." At this point I start to get really, really nervous because the next thing she asked me was how does someone get saved and I know the answer but I'm thinking to myself what if she asks me to lead her to the Lord.... I don't know how to do that. But I tell her all you have to do is ask the Lord into your heart. She said "It can't be that easy." I said Yes it is, God loves you so much He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to bear your sin and die in your place." The she asked me the one question that I was fearing the most....Can you tell me what say. Ahhhhhh at this point I'm freaking out I DONT KNOW HOW TO LEAD SOMEONE TO THE LORD!

All I tell her is that it has to come from your heart. This is your relationship between God and you. There is a prayer you can say but you don't have to, there is no fancy words all you need to do is lay your heart bear. I felt like she wanted me to pray with her so rummage through my brain for anything to say and then I fall back to what I know most and thats music. There is a song Jenn gave to me by Heather Williams called Hallelujah. So this is what I said:

Lord, please hear me and come today
Heal her, hear her, be near her
She has fallen so far
She's in need of your Grace today
We all stumble and fall, but in spit of it all your love always stays.
Jesus, please her my call, break her like you broke me
mold her use her I pray.
Don't give up on her, She close to you now
Now she's in need of your Grace
Hold her in your embrace
Your love always saves the Day
I trust in you Lord.
Amen

It might be lame to use song lyrics but its all I could come up with. I hope I did it the right way. We ended up having a cup of coffee together then parted way after that. It was a very moving afternoon! <3

  1. Wow Kalie. You did awesome. Just think how easy it actually was. It may have been lyrics but it is obvious they meant a great deal to you. Congratulations sweet Kalie. You have made Jesus so proud of you.
